2014 FREE Team WaterSmart Spring Workshop Series
Rain Gardens - Managing Rain in a Beautiful Way, Naturally
Do you want a beautiful landscape that helps minimize flooding and water pollution in your neighbourhood? Rainwater run-off from our streets and driveways can contain high levels of pollutants such as motor oil and heavy metals. By installing rain gardens, rainwater run-off can be collected, absorbed and filtered before it reaches local streams or enters the ocean. Rain gardens mitigate flooding, beautify our communities, create natural habitat and reduce water pollution all at the same time! Whether you are a local business, a homeowner or a landscaper, this workshop is for you! Presented by Sheri DeBoer of Easy Living Landscaping.
- Sat. April 12th | Cedar Heritage Center - 1644 MacMillan Road | 1:30pm-3:00pm
