2002 Local Government Elections

Official Election Results

On Saturday, November 16, 2002 residents of the Regional District of Nanaimo will vote in local government elections. Regional District Directors, Islands Trust Trustees and two referendum questions will appear on ballots depending on your electoral area. Voters in Electoral Areas A, B, C, D & E will be asked if they are in favour of establishing an annual contribution towards the operation of the Port Theatre. In addition, voters of a designated area of Electoral Area D (Lantzville Area) will be asked if they are in favour of incorporation.
