Category | Rebate | Description |
---|---|---|
1 | $200 maximum | Replace or Install a Distribution Box with Speed Levelers (pre-existing systems only) A properly functioning distribution box will maximize the effective lifespan of the drainfield by distributing effluent evenly to each line and preventing any one line from overload. Overloaded distribution lines may lead to a system malfunction. |
2 | $300 maximum | Install Risers (pre-existing systems only) Risers provide surface access to buried components. If you have risers, you have little to no digging to do hereafter, making future pumping and maintenance much easier. |
3 | $100 maximum | Install an Effluent Filter (pre-existing systems only) Effluent filters can prolong the life of your system by keeping solids out of the distribution field. Newer systems may already have an effluent filter. It is often possible to retrofit older tanks to house a filter. Important note: Effluent filters must be cleaned regularly. |
4 | $600 flat rate |
Repair a Malfunctioning System Applies to system repair and replacement with a value of at least $5,000. A copy of a completed Island Health Record of Sewerage System form is required to verify system repair. Cannot be combined with a Category 1, 2 or 3 Rebate. |
