The Regional Board intends to submit the following question and bylaw for vote on Saturday, November 15, 2008.
“Are you in favour of adoption of “Regional District of Nanaimo Drinking Water and Watershed Protection Establishment Bylaw No. 1556, 2008” which, if enacted, would establish a drinking water and watershed protection function in Electoral Areas A, B, C, E, F, G & H for the purpose of the protection of sources of drinking water and watersheds within the electoral areas?”
Applications to volunteer to act as scrutineers (not paid positions) for voting with respect to this question, will be received at the offices of the Regional District of Nanaimo at 6300 Hammond Bay Road, Nanaimo, B.C. between October 24, 2008 and November 3, 2008 and during that period, the applications shall only be received during regular office days and hours excluding holidays. Only applications from individuals entitled to vote as electors within Electoral Areas A, B, C, E, F, G & H can be considered.
