Bylaw 1653, 2012 was adopted by the RDN Board at its regular meeting on Tuesday, April 24. The deadline for elector response on Alternative Approval Process - Bylaw 1653, 2012 was 4:30pm, April 19.

A Bylaw to Establish a Community Policing Office Contribution Service in Cedar, RDN Electoral Area 'A'

Notice is hereby given to eligible electors in Regional District of Nanaimo Electoral Area 'A' that the Board intends to adopt "Regional District of Nanaimo Cedar Community Policing Office Establishment Bylaw No. 1653, 2012." If adopted, Bylaw No. 1653 will raise up to $2,000 annually to provide support for the Cedar Community Policing Office organization in Cedar, RDN Electoral Area 'A'. The cost to property owners within the service area with a residential property assessed at $100,000 would be $0.20 per annum.

Please note: Only qualified electors of RDN Electoral Area 'A' may respond to this alternative approval process. Forms must be received by 4:30 pm, April 19, 2012. As original signatures are required, only forms returned in person or by mail will be counted. Elector Response Forms may not be returned by email or fax.
