Make a splash at Water Day with Team WaterSmart!

The Regional District of Nanaimo's Team WaterSmart is excited to host two free Water Day events this year. Coinciding with Canada Water Week and in partnership with many great local organizations, Water Day events will include activities for all ages.
  • Nanaimo Water Day - Sunday, March 20th at Bowen Park Complex (500 Bowen Rd.)
  • Qualicum Water Day - Sunday, April 3rd at the Qualicum Commons (744 Primrose Ave.)
Both of these free community celebrations will run from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and will include interactive booths, speakers, workshops, kids' activities, food concession and live music. Attend one or both of these events to learn and celebrate the many values of water.

"These events offer exciting opportunities for residents to learn more about groundwater and surface water resources in our area," said Regional District of Nanaimo Chairperson Bill Veenhof. "The activities and workshops will provide in-depth information so we can better understand, preserve and protect this resource for the future."
