Beachcomber Marina Withdraws Rezoning Application
Beachcomber Marina Ltd. has elected not to proceed with the proposed marina expansion zoning amendment application PL2013-022 at this time and has withdrawn its application to the Regional District of Nanaimo. The zoning amendment application was seeking to expand the area occupied by the existing Beachcomber Marina. The zoning amendment application proposed a minor expansion to the area currently zoned for marina use in order to be consistent with the marina expansion area recently approved by the province.
While the zoning amendment application to expand the marina has been withdrawn, the marina could be redeveloped or reconfigured within the area currently zoned Water 2 which permits marina use.
