RDN Camping
By the lake or near the ocean, our stunning campgrounds at Horne Lake Regional Park and Descanso Bay Regional Park await you!
Horne Lake Regional Park
Horne Lake Regional Park is located at the west end of Horne Lake beside famous Horne Lake Caves Provincial Park. The Park has over five kilometres of lake and riverfront to explore along with a boat ramp, canoe and kayak rentals, a network of forest trails, and a day-use picnicking area that compliment the campground’s rustic wooded and lakefront sites. Campsites can be reserved between April 1 and October 15 and are on a first-come, first served basis for the rest of the year. Reservations for campsites can be made up to four (4) months in advance and up to two (2) days prior to your arrival date.
Descanso Bay Regional Park
Gabriola Island
Camp by the sea at the RDN's new Regional Park on scenic Gabriola Island. Formerly known as the Gabriola Campground, Descanso Bay Regional Park is located at 595 Taylor Bay Road, only a short distance from the ferry terminal. The Regional Park offers 32 camping sites on a beautiful 40-acre oceanfront property. Two oyster bays provide many delights for kayakers and other boaters as well as picnickers, campers and hikers.
Descanso Bay Regional Park was made possible in part by a generous donation from the Coastal Community Credit Union (CCCU). Thank you CCCU for helping preserve this lovely oceanfront property for the recreational enjoyment of all. Check it out!
