Water Wise Photo Contest April 14th - May 10th

From now until May 10th, submit a photograph of what in your backyard makes your outdoor space Watershed Friendly. Qualifying photos will receive a locally-made Watershed Friendly Yard sign and will be entered into a draw to win one of three grand prizes. Winners will be drawn and announced on May 12th. Lawn Alternatives and Xeriscaping
Have your yard look vibrant without chemicals or excess water! Green lawns are notorious water hogs that require lots of maintenance. The good news is there are many beautiful alternatives to turf grass that require little upkeep. Local horticulturalist Amy Robson will discuss options for Xeriscaping, Naturescaping, Artificial Turf and Permeable Pavers: a menu of choices for creating a landscape that doesn't lead to wasted water.
