Nanaimo's Drinking Watershed & Water Treatment Plant - Guided Tour

Come see the amazing journey our drinking water takes from the mountains to our homes! Enjoy an exclusive guided tour of the upper Nanaimo River Watershed, followed by a tour of Nanaimo’s innovative new Water Treatment Plant. Forestry and drinking water industry representatives will be on hand to answer questions. Bring a lunch, dress for the weather, and don’t forget your camera!

The Community Working Group is made up of volunteers from Electoral Area ‘H’ who have a community vision and are willing to work together respectfully with a goal of an invigorated and current Official Community Plan. The working group is tasked with confirming and prioritizing local issues, and acting as an information source for both the community as a whole and for RDN planning staff. Meetings are open to the public, and if you are not a member of the working group you will be provided the opportunity to speak and participate where possible.
