October 13th from 10 - 3pm 1406 Bowen Road, Nanaimo The Nanaimo Aboriginal House is being constructed to Passive House Standard. Nanaimo Passive House is currently the largest Multi-Family Passive House development on Vancou-ver Island and we are in line to be the first complete and certified Multi-Family Passive House in Western Canada.

Please join us on October 13th from 10 –3pm. We are going to give a few tours to highlight Passive House design and construction basics and a general overview of Passive House Canada and what we are looking to achieve with such a rigorous volun-tary engineering design.

This is an opportunity to see the Nanaimo Aboriginal Center as it nears completion and to meet the architects: DYS Architecture, Mark Ashby Architecture, and Saywell Contracting who are the project managers.

The official opening starts at 10:30 am; learn about past, current and future projects and services the RDN provides; register your bike and enter to win prizes. Enjoy the trail, special shuttle service to or from Coombs available from 12:00 to 4:00 pm.
