Regional District of Nanaimo Welcomes New Board of Directors

The Regional District of Nanaimo's (RDN) 2018-2022 Directors were sworn into office at its Inaugural Board Meeting on November 13, 2018.

A total of nineteen elected officials representing the RDN's seven electoral areas and four municipalities took oaths of office and became its Board of Directors for a four-year term. The RDN Board are:

Director Ian Thorpe was elected Chair of the RDN Board and the Nanaimo Regional Hospital District and Director Bob Rogers was elected Vice Chair of the RDN Board.

"I look forward to working collaboratively with my colleagues, listening to our residents and leading this Board to ensure the region continues to provide quality services to our growing and diverse population both urban and rural," said Ian Thorpe, Chair of Regional District of Nanaimo.
