Notice of a Public Information Meeting

A Public Information Meeting will be held Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at 6:00 pm at Mountain View Elementary School - Multi-purpose room located at 2480 East Wellington Road, Nanaimo concerning the zoning amendment application affecting the property located at 2995 Ridgeway Road in Electoral Area C, legally described as Lot 1 of Section 11, Ranges 3 and 4 and of Section 12, Range 4, Mountain District, Plan 31326 (see location map below).

The applicant proposes to rezone the subject property from Rural 1 (RU1) Subdivision District 'D' (2.0 hectare minimum parcel size) to Rural 1 (RU1) Subdivision District 'F' (1.0 hectare minimum parcel size), under the "Regional District of Nanaimo Land Use and Subdivision Bylaw No. 500, 1987", to allow a facilitate a two lot subdivision (see Proposed Site Plan attached).

What is the Zoning Amendment about?

The purpose of the Public Information Meeting is to introduce the proposed change in parcel density and to invite comments from the public regarding this application. Please note this is not a Public Hearing. A summary of the comments received at this meeting will be provided to the Electoral Area Services Committee and Regional Board as part of the application review process.
